Mum joined the army when she was 18 years old. She was really proud of serving her country and she really enjoyed her time but when she became pregnant with my brother she had to leave. She married Brian Painter in 1969 and Richard was born the same year she was living in whittington at the time. Kerry was then born on the 3rd of january 1971. Not long after mum's first marriage ended she had met mine and Kharan's dad in the army and they got together i was born in 1973 and Kharan was born in 1974 and mum and dad married on 31 August 1974.
